According to reports, Hope Solo was so drunk that she was unable to perform a field sobriety test or follow instructions from the police officer. She was arrested for driving under the influence and resisting arrest, as well as misdemeanor child abuse.

Hope Solo was scheduled to be inducted into National Soccer Hall of Fame just one month before her arrest.
