Players known as "Freddy Fever", or players who have the nickname, are allowed to join the team. To be considered for the team, they must play one season with Indiana Fever. However, you don't have to be a fan of basketball to follow the team. The Indiana Fever deserves support for several reasons.

They were eliminated in the finals by Jeanette Pohlen, who tore her ACL, and Katie Douglas, who injured the Minnesota Lynx. Freddy is loved and appreciated by his fans. He attends birthday parties and participates in community events. He is the official symbol of Indiana's women's basketball teams.
Freddy Fever's piercing blue eyes, trademark sly smile and long hair give him a unique look. Freddy Fever may have visited the Pacers' offices to get enter-to-win tickets or sought out the services of PBA celebrities. The mascot is popular for throwing T-shirts in the crowd and is a fan favorite.
It has won one WNBA championship
The Indiana Fever are a professional American women's basketball team. They have only won one WNBA championship. The team has been a perennial contender for the playoffs for the past 12 season. The Fever had their best year in 2009, when they reached the finals. They lost the series against Atlanta, however they won two consecutive games to advance to the WNBA Finals. The Fever won the championship in 2012.

In their history, only one championship was won by The Fever. In 2011, the Fever made eight consecutive postseason appearances. After Katie Douglas broke her ACL, the team was unable make it to the second round. However, the Fever enjoyed much success after that season under Lin Dunn (legendary head coach) and Herb Simon (team owner).
