When you think of a track star female, you probably picture Sha'Carri Richardson or Allyson Felix. You can imagine many other track stars. Nadine Broersen is another example. Here are five track legends who have been a part history. You might not have known them, but you might have heard about them. What are their commonalities? Find out more! Sha'Carri Richardson

Sha'Carri is an American track and fields sprinter. She competes at the 100-meter as well as 200-meter. While a Louisiana State University freshman, Richardson broke the 100 meter record in 10.75 secs. Richardson, who is now a full time athlete, is now a role-model for young women around world.

Allyson Felix

Allyson Felix was an American track and fields athlete. She was first a 200-meter runner for nine years. Then she switched to the 400 meter sprint later in her career. She now enjoys a prominent place among the top women athletes and is an inspiration to others who want to pursue their own goals. These are some fun facts about Felix. Robin Bone

Robin Bone turns 25 this year. She was a former high-school track star. As a teenager, she played nearly every sport under the sun, from soccer and basketball to gymnastics and track and field. She was a top competitor since she was 15 years old, but had a concussion that forced her to withdraw. After deciding that she wanted to focus solely on track, the Darien High School track squad was created.


Nadine Broersen

Dutch track star NadineBroersen, a world-class high jumping specialist and heptathlon specialist, is the Dutch track star. She holds the highest national record in high jump and was the 2014 World Indoor pentathlon winner. Broersen is a member of AV Sprint in Breda, her track and field club. Many top Dutch athletes also call the club home. Broersen, in addition to her accomplishments in track and field is an example for young women athletes.

Lolo Jones

Lori Susan "Lolo” Jones (American hurdler, bobsledder) is Lori Susan "Lolo". She specializes in the 60-meter and 100-meter hurdles, and has won three NCAA titles and eleven All-American honors. She has been called one of history's most influential athletes. Jones is not only an exceptional athlete, but she also has a passion and love for running.

Cathrine Larsasen

Cathrine Larsasen, a Norwegian pole vaulter, was born 5/12/86. She holds the indoor and outdoor pole vault record. Larsasen is now at 0.54m, an increase of 0.54m on her personal best over the past five-years. The former world indoor pole vault champion is a certified track star and has won numerous awards.
