Polish UFC Fighters are in the UFC

Polish fighters have found the UFC a great place to fight. But how do these fighters fare in the UFC? This article will feature Marcin Prachnio Jan Blachowicz Michal Matterla and Michal Olesiejczuk.

Marcin Prachnio

Marcin Prachnio, a mixed martial artist from Poland, competes in the Light Heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Since 2013, he has been a professional MMA fighter and has competed in the ONE Championship.

Prachnio was a UFC fighter when he made his debut in 2018. He has fought twice thus far. In his UFC career, he has earned $38,500. His first bout was against Sam Alvey, UFC on FOX 28, his first. For that fight, he earned $25,000 and $13,500 against Magmed Akalaev in UFC Fight Night 136. Before coming to the UFC, Prachnio fought in 15 bouts, including four One Championships.

Jan Blachowicz

Jan Blachowicz also known as Jan Maciej (Polish mixed martial artist) He is currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship's Light Heavyweight division. He has been in the game since 2007 and competed in the KSW Pro before switching to the UFC. He was a KSW Lightweight winner and a former UFC Lightweight Champion.

After winning his first fight in the UFC, Blachowicz lost four of his next five. Two years later, however, he found his rhythm. From October 2017 to March 20,21, he won nine out of ten of his next ten matches. His most recent win came against Israel Adesanya who was a former champion at middleweight. His record now shows 28 wins to eight losses.

Michal Materla

KSW 6 in March gave MMA enthusiasts a first glimpse at Michal Mateerla, a promising prospect. The Polish mixed martial artist won an 8-man one-night tournament and has since become one of the top stars of Polish MMA. He's a winner of four of his last five fights and has a 15-3 overall record. His most notable wins include victories over Matt Horwich Tomasz Drake and Rodasz Wallace. His most recent defeat was against UFC vet Antonio Mendes, KSW 7.


Another one of the best known Polish MMA fighters is Damian Grabowski. He holds a 22-6-1 pro record and is currently a heavyweight competitor. His last fight was in 2011, and he is 41 years old.

Michal Oleksiejczuk

Micha Olesiejczuk of Poland is a mixed-martial artist and middleweight boxer. He's been competing professionally since 2014. He is a former Light Heavyweight champion of the Polish Thunderstrike Fight League and currently competes in the middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Oleksiejczuk was 27 years of age and hails originally from Barki (Poland). His professional record stands at 16-5-0. Eleven of his wins have been via knockout, and one by submission. The remaining four wins were via decision. Oleksiejczuk first appeared in Octagon on December 30, 2017. He trains at Akademia Sportow Walki Wilanow.

Marcin Tybura

Marcin Tybura from Poland is a professional mixed martial artist who fights in Heavyweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He has been fighting professionally since 2011. Before making the jump to the UFC, Tybura competed in the M-1 promotion where he became the M-1 Global Heavyweight Champion and M-1 Grand Prix 2013 Heavyweight Champion.

Tybura's striking is fairly functional, largely centered around leg kicks and big looping hooks. Tybura is an excellent wrestler. He has a strong jaw and can clinch any opponent. His wrestling style heavily relies on BJJ, freestyle and freestyle.
