Rose Lavelle hails from Cincinnati and is a professional soccer player. At age 5, she began playing soccer in coed youth leagues of the YMCA. She didn't celebrate her first goal and smiled. She just kept going with the game. Later she was a soccer player for several local clubs, including Cincinnati United Premier Soccer Club. She also played college soccer for the University of Wisconsin.
Lavelle grew-up in Cincinnati, and attended Mount Notre Dame High School. Later she was awarded a scholarship by the University of Wisconsin. Today, she plays in the NWSL with the Washington Spirit. Neil Bradford, a Cincinnati Soccer trainer helped Lavelle discover her passion for soccer.

Lavelle is a former representative of the United States women’s National Team at both the youth and senior levels. In November 2015, she was named the top midfielder in the Big Ten. NSCAA later awarded her the honor of first-team All-American. Lavelle was also a member of the Dayton Dutch Lions W-League team in 2014, and the Seattle Sounders Women W-League team in 2015. After graduating from college, Lavelle joined the Washington Spirit. After graduating from college, Lavelle moved back to Dayton to begin the 2016 Women's Premier Soccer League.

Rose Lavelle was named Big Ten Midfielder Of The Year in December 2015. Rose Lavelle was also selected to play on the U.S. Women's National Team but did not make it onto the game-day roster. This was when she began to feel frustrated. She felt like she was not making the right progress and wasn't in the best shape for the rigors of playing for the national team. Through a meeting she had with Coach Wilkins, she was finally able to make progress.
Rose Lavelle plays soccer for the Badgers but is also an active participant in the university's community services programs. She is a major participant in Wish Upon a Badger Experience, Women's Soccer, and the Thank-A-Thon as well as Youth Soccer Clinics and the Thank-A-Thon. She is now a brand ambassador to the premium light beer FLIGHT By Yuengling.
She has been a crucial member of U.S. Women's National Team
Rose Lavelle is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. She became a key member of the U.S. Women's National Team when she was just 15 years old. She played recently in the Czech Republic at SheBelieves Cup. Although the USWNT lost the game, they beat their opponents 18-6. Rose Lavelle was named Budweiser Woman Champion of the Match.

Lavelle was injured in a friendly match against Australia in June 2017. She was hurt in the hamstring, but she returned to USWNT for the last game. She showed a lot of creativity throughout tournament. Both her teammates as well as her coaches praised her for being a breakout player.
Lavelle played at the World Cup in the United States. She made her World Cup debut in Thailand, but she was not able to make it against Chile. She returned to the United States against Sweden and helped them press their attacks.
