U.S. women’s national soccer team takes on Chile
The U.S. women's national soccer team vs. Chile is an interesting matchup. Both sides met in fall 2018 and both games ended with a USA victory. The United States is also the defending Women's World Cup champion so Chile will be a tough opponent. Both teams have good players, but the U.S. has the better overall team.

Christiane Endler, Goalkeeper
The United States Women's National Team won 2-0 against Chile in Tuesday's World Cup opening match. The USWNT has now gone 3-0-0 against Chile, with Julie Ertz scoring one and Carli Lloyd scoring twice. On goal differential, the USWNT leads Group F and will face Sweden on Thursday. The USWNT will be looking for a continuation of its winning streak and is considered a favorite to win the match.
Start lineup
Which players should start in the Women's Soccer USA-Chile match? The United States will be looking to continue their unbeaten run in the group stage, but a win over Chile could prove vital for their Olympic hopes. Currently ranked fourth in the world, the U.S. has won 20 of its 38 matches. Their last match was a 66-38 victory over Sweden. They dominated possession and scored in halftime, but only 28% of the match saw them touch the ball. Despite starting the match without seven stars, the USA never slowed down. Carli Lloyd scored 2 goals, and missed a 3rd.
Disputes Between FIFA and USWNT
Although the dispute between U.S. Soccer and FIFA has been simmering for some time, it is now coming to an end. A lawsuit was filed by U.S. soccer players on International Women's Day four months before the Women's World Cup. Players claim that they receive less pay than men and have not been given equal work conditions.
Players with more than 200 caps for the team
Becky Sauerbrunn reached 200 caps. She will be the 12th player from USWNT to achieve this milestone. She will also make history as the fourth defender ever to reach this milestone. This feat comes only a few month after the Dutch captain attained this milestone. Her achievement will surpass General Manager Kate Markgraf's. She is two years away from the moment when a certain player was able to captained the U.S. nation team for her 100th cap celebration.

Endler denies Press
Christen Press teed up Lindsey Horan for the U.S. goal, but Endler came out of her goal and denied her tap-in. Press's strike might have given Chile the lead. However, Endler made a spectacular save. She is gifted with a unique instinct and can make stunning saves. The save made in the 68th minute was the highlight of the game.
