A judge in Forsyth County gave the 23-year-old suspended sentences, an active sentence of 30 days, and a substance abuse assessment. Solo was given credit by the judge for her time in a rehabilitation facility. The penalty includes a $2,500 fine, and the requirement to submit to a substance abuse evaluation.

She was stopped in a Walmart parking area

The mother-of-two was arrested for driving while impaired and resisting arrest. Along with these charges, she was also accused of misdemeanor abuse child. Witnesses saw Hope Solo lying in her driver's seat, while she was driving. Officers pulled Solo over. The incident occurred as Solo and her two children were asleep in the backseat of the car.
She was charged with child abuse misdemeanor
