
Annie Park plays professional golf on the LPGA Tour. She has one LPGA Tour win and recently competed in the 2019 Solheim Cup. Annie Park, a Korean American Golfer, has come a long distance in her life. She was one of three children born in Levittown (New York). She was an outstanding junior golfer and became the first female to win Nassau Boys High School Championship. Annie is humble but has been able to make a living from the sport.
Annie Park made the decision to become a professional after her junior year. She underwent a thyroid operation in February but quickly recovered. She missed the NCAA finals but has since won twice at the Epson Tour. On July 19, she won the Toyota Danielle Downey Classic, and on Aug. 2, she won the PHC Classic. Park became the first Korean American woman to win on this Tour. Park is also the top scorer in rounds in 60s and average scoring.
She is a former college golfer
Annie Park, an ex-college golfer, holds a 3.66 GPA. She is a member of the MacArthur's Renaissance program, which recognizes academically gifted students. Park is also a friend of Claritza Bquero, who has committed her self to Liberty University.

Park started playing golf when she turned seven years old. At the age of 10, Park was hitting 500 golf balls per day. Her mom home-schooled her for a time and accompanied her from tournament to tournament. Her older sister (13 years) runs a nail salon on Glen Head, Long Island.

Annie Park won in 2018 the Honda Sports Award Women's Golf, after she qualified at the U.S Women's Open held at Sebonack Golf Club near Southampton, New York. She was one of four nominees and won the award in the process, beating out Katie Ledecky, Ella Eastin, and Indiana junior Lilly King. This is the highest national honor for women's college athletics. It will be presented on June 25 at the Honda Cup Los Angeles.
Annie Park is a former NCAA individual champion for the University of Southern California. In her first season, she won the conference championship and the Division I individual women's golf title, beating out the winner by six strokes. She went on to win the overall national championship and the Honda Sports Award. She decided to quit the Trojans to join the LPGA Tour.

Annie Park was the Chevron Championship's sole participant at Mission Hills Country Club. Park was the first round alone. Twosomes are common in this tournament. Park shot a score of 69-67 to make it through the cut. It was her highest 36-hole score in major tournaments.
She will be playing with another person the next day. She isn't in the top 15, and has considered giving up. She was in the midst of a pandemic.

Annika Sorenstam & Se Ri Pak inspired her
Annie Park was inspired by two different sportspeople when she was a child: Se Ri Pak and Annika Sorenstam. Both were South Koreans that achieved great success on LPGA Tour. The former was an inspiration to young South Korean golfers, while Sorenstam became an example for young American girls.
Park was raised in Levittown (New York). She is the youngest of three sisters, and is the daughter of Korean immigrants. Despite her modest background, she can still play well enough to make a living playing golf.
